TRAI & DND Compliance

1. The rules in short
Commercial calls in India are governed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) under the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018. Ringexa is the calling platform; the business on whose behalf a call is made is the sender of that call. This page explains what Ringexa does for you, and what stays with your business.
2. What Ringexa does on every call
- Do Not Call check before every dial. Every outbound call — a single call, a campaign contact or a lead from an ad — passes one check against your Do Not Call list. A number on that list is never dialled.
- Opt-outs are flagged. When someone on a call asks not to be called again, Ringexa flags it on your dashboard so the number can be added to your Do Not Call list.
- The caller is identified. Calls open by saying which business is calling.
- A full record of every call. Calls are recorded and transcribed with their date, time and outcome, so you can show what was said if a complaint is raised.
3. What your business is responsible for
- Registration with your operator. Complete any registration your telecom operator requires for commercial calling, such as DLT registration and the correct number series. We set this up with you before your first campaign.
- Consent and the national DND registry. Call people who asked to hear from you or already have a relationship with you. For promotional calls, check your list against the national DND registry (NCPR) — Ringexa checks your own Do Not Call list, not the national registry.
- Calling hours. TRAI limits promotional calls to daytime hours, 9 am to 9 pm. Schedule campaigns within that window.
4. Stop receiving calls
If you received a call placed through Ringexa and do not want further calls, tell the agent on the call, or write to info@ringexa.com with your number. We pass it to the business concerned so it is added to their Do Not Call list.
This page explains how Ringexa supports these rules. It is not legal advice.
